Before he meets Faragano, Kombamwiko the Cockroach enjoys living in his village. But Faragano who is widely travelled is fed up with the life in their village. He decides to move to Town once and for all. Faragano narrates to Kombamwiko about the easy life in Town and convinces him to join him. The journey turns out to be a very dangerous undertaking for Kombamwiko. Faragano, who has faced most of the dangers before, protects and urges him along until, against all odds, they get there. However, for Kombamwiko there is no fun and he decides to return to the Bush.
