This was a real disappointment. Sara, the narrator, was an unlikeable character whose actions often made no sense. She spent the entire novel feeling really down and scared, and recalled episodes from her past which were equally depressing. Everyone apart from her sister was horrible to her, and she was horrible to every one she met.
