Policy analysis/ Raphael Mbithi Munyui

This publication is a pure research paper which is written to aid economics students to learn more on policy analysis, which entails the formulation of policies, evaluation of alternatives, implementation and the evaluation of the implemented policies.
In his publications, Munyui defines policy analysis as a systematic approach to choosing the most viable decisions from a set of alternatives. His work highlights several key areas: its that policy revolves entirely around decision-making, which requires specific training, skill, and expertise to navigate difficult alternatives. He draws a clear distinction between public policies and corporate policies. His analysis extends to economic and tax policies in Kenya, such as the implications of the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) expanding its tax base to the informal sector.
